Community Engagement in Implementation Science Public Goods: Where Are They Now and How Can I Use Them?

This webinar, the first installment of the Community Participation in Implementation Science Fall 2026 webinar series, highlighted several CCIS community engagement public goods and how they can be applied in implementation science research and practice. Presenters shared updates on resources designed to support researchers and community partners, including the ISAC (Implementation Strategies Applied in Communities) strategy compilation, a guide to engaging rural communities, a cancer control champion retreat toolkit, and a community engagement training curriculum for students. Across the presentations, a common message emerged: effective implementation science depends on authentic community partnerships, trust-building, and practical tools that can be adapted to real-world settings. Speakers emphasized engaging communities early, valuing community expertise, supporting local champions, and creating resources that are accessible and useful beyond academic settings.
